Inter-American Masonic Confederation concluded its meeting in Tijuana, Mexico

In the past three days Mexico hosted the biggest Masonic event of the end of this year. On the first day of work and according to the protocol, were presented the messages of the civil authorities and leaders of all the Masonic bodies present at the event (among the participants was also the Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of Mexico, Onosandro Trejo Cerda, Felipe Vitela Mora, President of the Confederation of Regular Grand Lodges of Mexico and Vanderlei Valente Freitas, CMSB's Secretary-General). Were also established the round tables. According to the official agenda, were discussed topics such as democratic development, social solidarity, social progress, social justice, the secular and social security.

Grand Secretary Miguel Carreño Bahena pointed out that the preparatory meeting for the 2012 General Assembly to be held in Brazil was successful. All subjects were carefully reviewed and adopted by the Grand Lodges present, respecting the sovereignty and independence of each member. Finally, he defined the IMC as a "society builder."

"As I said in the last interview, being hosts of this preparatory meeting means that in the concert of the confederated Grand Lodges to the IMC is obvious that the Grand Lodge of Baja California is considered by the Grand Lodges of the World as a mature, serious, recognized and respected Grand Lodge and with the ability and resources to make a success of an event of this nature. We have the ability - as an alternative venue - to prepare and perform in Tijuana (if necessary) the XXII General Assembly of the IMC is scheduled for 2012 in Brazil," stated the Grand Secretary, adding that "Of course for us, this event is not, nor was a test to measure our ability, but rather, an opportunity to show to all high dignitaries attending from over one hundred different Masonic Powers who visited us,our hospitality, appreciation, cuisine, our regional wines, the nobility of our land and our people, plus the ability of planning and of work of the Masonic community led by Grand Master Raul Arturo Gomez Mariscal, within the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Baja California."
